SNNI Opportunities
Postdoctoral positions are available within the Materials Science Institute at the University of Oregon in Eugene. The two positions, affiliated with the Safer Nanomaterials and Nanomanufacturing Initiative, focus on developing greener synthesis methods to produce metal and semiconductor nanoparticles and determining the design rules for safer nanomaterials through investigation of the bio-nano interface. One position aims to develop new synthetic methods and nanomaterials for these studies. The other position focuses on the structural characterization of nanomaterials and of the bio-nano interface. Both positions provide opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and academic-industry partnership, and access to state-of-the-art facilities with the Lorry I. Lokey Laboratories. These positions require a PhD in chemistry, materials science or related field. Please refer to the Jobs page at the University of Oregon website (www.uoregon.edu) for complete position announcement and application procedures. The University of Oregon is an AA/EO/ADA institution committed to cultural diversity.
